How do I know what size unit I need?

The right unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much access you want to your items. A small unit may be enough for boxes or seasonal items, while larger units can hold furniture from a full home or bulk business goods. If you are unsure, our team can guide you through the options and suggest a unit that suits your storage needs. By choosing the right size from the start, you avoid paying for unused space while still having enough room to store everything comfortably.

What can I store in a unit at Stockade Storage?

You can store most household, business, and vehicle items that fit safely inside a storage unit and meet our facility guidelines. This includes furniture, boxes, household goods, tools, business equipment, documents, and selected vehicles such as cars, trailers, or boats, depending on the unit size you choose. How secure are your storage facilities?

Each storage unit is secured with your own padlock, so only you have access to your belongings. What is self storage and how does it work?

Self storage is a convenient way to store personal or business items when space runs out at home or work. At Stockade Storage in Caboolture, you rent a secure unit that suits your needs, move your belongings in, and lock it with your own padlock for exclusive access. Located at 135 Tomlinson Road, Caboolture, our facility allows access during set hours whenever needed. These units work like your own private room and are ideal for moving house, renovating, decluttering, or storing business stock without extra office or warehouse space.

How do I get started?

You can contact us and we can send you an online move in link to your phone or email. Once this is complete, we have received payment and verified your ID, we send you a PIN for the gate and map showing the location of your space. You’re then good to go, just don’t forget to bring your own padlock.

Do you have discounts for long term storage rental?

Yes! At Stockade Storage, we understand that many of our customers need storage for extended periods, whether it’s for ongoing business use, long-term renovations, or storing household items while relocating. That’s why we offer flexible options and discounted rates for long-term rentals.

Can I drive my trailer up to my unit door?

Yes! All our units are conveniently located on the ground level with easy driveway access. This means you can drive a trailer, small van, or car directly up to your unit, making it simple to load and unload your belongings without extra effort. Our design ensures you don’t need to carry heavy or bulky items long distances, saving you time and effort. Whether you’re moving furniture, business equipment, or larger items, our accessible units make the storage process as smooth and hassle-free as possible.

​Can I give my PIN Code to someone else so they can access my unit?

​We strongly recommend that you do not provide your code to others. All entries and exits to the facility are logged according to the PIN Code used. You are responsible for everyone that enters the facility using your PIN Code.

Are there any hidden costs?

No. There are no additional costs to signing a rental agreement. You will need to pay your first month upfront and rental payments are made one month in advance. Add-On options (move in kits, pallet racking etc.) are available at sign up. If you do not leave your unit clean or leave rubbish in the facility, we reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee.

Can I store caravans, boats, and cars at your Self Storage Facility?

Yes! At Stockade Storage, we offer a range of storage space self storage options specifically designed to accommodate larger vehicles such as caravans, boats, and cars. Our facility has multiple units and hardstand areas with enough space to safely store vehicles of different sizes. Our team can help you choose the right self storage solution based on your vehicle type and storage duration, ensuring a convenient, secure, and hassle-free experience every time.

Can I share my PIN?

​We strongly recommend that you do not provide your code to others. All entries and exits to the facility are logged according to the PIN Code used. You are responsible for everyone that enters the facility using your PIN Code.

What happens if I get behind in rent?

If your account falls into arrears, you will be denied access to the facility, as your PIN Code will not work. Please do not be offended as full access will resume once your account has been paid. If the rent remains unpaid, your storage unit will be overlocked.

What can’t I put into storage?

Hazardous, dangerous, environmentally harmful, explosive, illegal or stolen goods, or perishable items.

Is there a minimum storage period?

The minimum period is one month.

How do I pay?

You can contact us and we can send you an online move in link to your phone or email. Do I need insurance?

It's recommended to insure your items when using self-storage, even though it's not legally required. You must make your own arrangements regarding insurance. We advise that you check your current House and Contents Insurance, as many of these policies include storage of items.

What happens if I lose the key to my storage unit or forget my PIN?

We can resend the PIN Code to you or allocate you a new one. We do NOT hold keys for your unit so you will need to replace the lock if you lose your keys.

Do the storage units have concrete or gravel floors?

All our units have concrete floors and have been fitted with Vermin Protection.
